A Tour @ Mata Puteh Birds Singing
Competition
On this day 30th March
2014, it was my pleasure to have a chance with Mr Heng (The Organizer - of
Serangoon North Mata Putehs competition). He was already there when I reached around
8 am, he and his team mates were sitting at a round table administrating the
participants and those last minute registration. As this was the 1st time we met, I just introduced myself
and sat beside them watching them busying with the event.
Upon Registration
Participants submitted their tickets
and allocate their birds “Hanger” slots to standby for the competition once the
judges arrive. The ticket also entitles them for a Lucky Draw whereby prizes
like LCD TV and many other items to be won.
Start Of Competition
At around 9.30 am, the judges
announces the competition start and everyone begin to remove the cover cloths
from their birds. Meanwhile the 3 judges started judging the birds for 3 rounds
and a final round of 30 birds will compete again but this final round will be
judge by different judges.
Judgments will base on the following:
Loudness – Stamina – Varieties etc.
After each round of competition, the
score sheets will be consolidate by the admin team and result will be posted on
the wall for contestants to check how many points their birds score for each
round. The final 30 best performers will get to the final round that warrant them
a trophy.
End Of Competition
At around 1 pm, all participants
will gather at the community centre for the trophies presentation and of cause
the lucky draw prizes as well.
